5 Ways to Use Video in Email

Email Authentically

This live webinar focuses on five interesting ways to use video to spice up your marketing emails. The ultimate aim of this session is to help you create more authentic content that actually resonates with the people on the other end of your marketing emails. Video is a particularly effective means to this end because it allows for extreme personalization and clear distinction from more impersonal marketing.

Launch Products In Style

The first of the five video email plays involves product announcements. Video enables much clearer communication of a new product, and fosters higher engagement during a product launch.

Maximize Free Trials

Another highly effective medium for using video is in emails to free trial users or product-qualified leads (PQLs). The key component to consider here is a clear hook to engage the new viewer and ensure that they continue to read the content of your email.

An Engaging Onboarding

Once you’ve generated this PQL and they’ve signed up to become a customer, you want to enroll them in an engaging onboarding email sequence. Cody’s big tip here is to use an animated GIF to make the experience much more human, personal, and welcoming.

The New Newsletter

The customer nurture doesn’t end after onboarding is completed, however. Customers will continue to expect the same personalized engagement as they consume more content. This presents a great opportunity to use video to make your customer content, such as a weekly newsletter, even more personal. To that end, and perhaps most fittingly given the context, Mark also implores using video in webinar-related emails.

Video Versatility

Once you get over the hurdle of implementation and become comfortable with video, the opportunities are endless. It’s such a versatile tool that enables you to take a step back from what everyone else is doing and be more unique and human.
