BOSTON, Mass. – December 12, 2018Drift, the world’s leading conversational marketing and sales platform, has won further recognition from Comparably in their 2018 Culture Awards. The organization was named an Overall Best Company and one of the Best Companies for Diversity, while David Cancel was named top-ranked CEO among companies with fewer than 500 employees.

“We’ve tripled in size in 2018 and Drift continues to grow by focusing on diversity in every area of the business to enhance our culture,” said David Cancel, CEO. “Our team works hard to foster an inclusive environment, and we’re thrilled to be recognized again for these achievements.”

The Comparably Awards honor businesses that are helping to drive positive culture change across companies large and small. Rankings are derived from sentiment ratings provided by employees who anonymously rate their employers on Comparably.com throughout the year. There are no fees or costs associated with participating, nor is nomination required.

Drift’s recognition today follows similar awards in June, when Comparably recognized the company with Best Leadership for small and mid-sized companies, making Drift the only Massachusetts company to rank in the top 10. CEO David Cancel was also the only Boston-based CEO to place on Comparably’s top 10 CEOs for diversity and top 10 CEOs for women lists. 2018 was an impressive year for Drift, as the company was also named one of the Forbes Cloud 100, LinkedIn’s Top 50 Startups, and Entrepreneur’s Top Company Cultures.

These placements reflect Drift’s focus on a progressive, inclusive culture as it rapidly expands its team across Boston, San Francisco and Seattle. The company’s recruiting initiatives are geared toward diversity and inclusiveness, combining college recruiting efforts, tailored internship and co-op programs, and a recruiting mindset focused on underrepresented backgrounds to foster a more diverse hiring pool of candidates and employees.

Going forward, Drift aims to use additional opportunities like membership with Founders for Change, the female entrepreneurship documentary “Dream, Girl” and relationships with local STEM programs to continue recruiting and hiring more diverse candidates.
