Reusable Blocks 2.0, Sales Rep Dashboard, and Reporting Enhancements: January Releases from Drift

By Noah Kortkamp

Can you believe it’s already 2023? To be honest, we’re still getting used to it.

2022 showed us that it’s now harder than ever to build quality pipeline, and 2023 is going to be no different. With budgets tightening, we’re all looking for ways to be more efficient as we try to do more with less.

That’s why, today, we are excited to share some updates to our Conversational AI, Reporting and Sales Rep dashboards, and Reusable Blocks — all of which work to simplify your workflows and save time.

Understand and Export Your Data

The need to completely understand your data and take action on it has never been more important. That is why we’re doubling down on Drift’s reporting so you have all the data you need to make informed decisions.

In this first round of reporting enhancements, we’ve updated the Reporting dashboard so you can drill down into your data more easily. With one click, you can now access records of your conversational data — and you can export it to gain deeper insights. This is only the first in a series of updates, so be on the lookout for more reporting enhancements in the coming year.

Save Time and Scale Your Playbook Strategy with Reusable Blocks

Playbooks are at the heart of every conversational strategy — after all, they’re what allow you to customize conversations and deliver a unique experience to your buyers. But building a playbook from scratch takes time and effort. So we set out to make the process easier for you.

Reusable Blocks give marketers the ability to reuse conversational flows across multiple playbooks. This means you’ll be able to create a more reliable, consistent experience without forcing marketers to go through complex tasks repeatedly.

Prevent Unwanted Language with Signal Profanity in AI Chat

With the recent launch of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, I think we’re all a little curious about how powerful AI can truly be. But, at the same time, we’ve also learned that we need to be cautious about how we use and implement it. (Check out our blog on ChatGPT to learn more.)

Drift’s newest AI update, Signal Profanity in AI chatbots, provides a new and improved way to identify and handle profanity in AI conversations.

With this new AI topic, you can now customize how your chatbot responds to profane language across all your playbooks. This ensures that the AI chatbot will correctly pick out potentially offensive language across all your conversations and handle it in a professional and appropriate manner. As a result, you’ll be able to deliver an overall better user experience.

Identify What AI Actions to Take Next

Drift’s AI Topic Libary includes critical data on AI performance, popular topics, and conversation details which you can use to identify trends and keep training your AI chatbot to be even smarter.

This month, we’ve improved our suggested topics in the Discovery tab, which allows you to uncover and apply even more relevant topics that your website visitors care about. The updated UI clearly indicates actions to take and helps you keep track of new topics so that you can deliver an AI chatbot experience that better serves your visitors’ needs.

Surface Account Activity in One Central Location

Knowing the right time to reach out to your target accounts is always a challenge, especially when sales reps are splitting their time and focus between a variety of tools and workflows.

That’s why we’ve updated the UI of the Sales Rep Dashboard so you can view core account insights in a single glance. This includes insights into account engagement, recent activity, and visitors that are live on your website. With this update, sales reps will find it easier than ever to uncover high-intent activities and strike when the iron is hot.
