BOSTON, Mass. – October 23, 2018 – Drift, the world’s leading conversational marketing and sales platform, today announced that Dena Upton has joined the company as its first Vice President of People.

Upton will lead Drift’s people operations team, responsible for the company’s talent development, operations, recruitment and retention. The appointment comes amid Drift’s skyrocketing growth, more than doubling in size in 2018, opening and expanding offices in San Francisco and Seattle, and continuing to hire in double figures on a weekly basis.

She joins Drift from LogMeIn, where she served as VP, People and Talent for six years, and brings over 20 years of experience in managing people. Under Upton’s leadership, her prior companies have been recognized for outstanding culture and talent management, including nine consecutive Best Places to Work accolades for LogMeIn from the Boston Business Journal.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dena, truly one of the best talent leaders, to the Drift team,” said David Cancel, Drift founder and CEO. “With the company growing so quickly, keeping our team running smoothly and finding the right people is more important than ever. Dena has shown that she knows how best to manage talent in scaling companies and we’re excited to welcome her to the Drift team.”

“I am delighted to join the Drift team at such a pivotal time for the company,” said Upton. “This place is contagious. Anyone who has been in contact with the team at Drift will have experienced our incredible culture, enabled by a team that is united in its mission and who loves every second of their work. As we continue to grow, I look forward to building on the great work Drift has already accomplished in such a short time. We are assembling a once-in-a-lifetime company and I am excited to be part of the journey.”
