Scott Ernst brings over three decades of experience at the intersection of marketing technology and consumer data. Most recently, he was CEO of Tubular Labs, the leading SaaS insights and measurement authority for social video helping marketers, publishers and platforms navigate the transition from linear TV to digital video.

Prior to Tubular, he was Global CEO of Macromill, a Tokyo-based global marketing research business, where he partnered with Bain Capital to open 20 new offices around the world, add over 1,000 new employees to the team, drive revenue growth to over $400M and lead the company through a successful IPO.
Tim Redfern
CFO & COO /
Tim is the chief financial officer at Drift, where he leads the team responsible for global finance, IT and business systems, reporting, internal controls, operations and pricing.

Tim has significant experience leveraging finance to drive business improvement, decision support, performance management and growth. Prior to Drift, he held progressive finance roles as SVP, EVP and CFO for Access, where he led the company’s global finance, accounting, real estate and pricing teams. Tim supported significant organic and acquisitive revenue and EBITDA growth, almost doubling the revenue and EBITDA. Prior to Access, he held senior finance and management roles with Skillsoft over his 15-year tenure.

Tim was a major player on the team that helped to grow the company from approximately $50M in revenue to over $600M, with profit margins north of 35%. Tim holds an MBA from the University of New Hampshire, a B.S. in Finance from Linfield College and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School General Management Program.
Diana Brunelle

Diana is the chief people officer of Drift, where she leads the people team and is responsible for global talent acquisition, people operations, employee engagement and talent development.

Diana is passionate about creating an inclusive company culture that bolsters leadership alignment and accelerates growth. Over the past two decades, her leadership roles have spanned the global tech, digital media and advertising industries with extensive experience helping companies adopt modern organizational structures and evolve go-to-market teams for scale.

In her prior role as CHRO of Avid Technology, she led the People and Places team as the organization launched a multi-year digital and cultural transformation. As an entrepreneur, she built an HR consulting business that delivered human capital solutions, enabling organizations to acquire, engage and develop the talent required to thrive and grow.
Melissa Leffler
SVP of Engineering /
Melissa Leffler is the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Drift. She brings 30+ years of experience leading engineering teams, previously serving in technical leadership roles for several Boston-area firms. This includes Objective Logistics, which she joined near the time of its Series A funding. After helping scale the product infrastructure and engineering team, the company was later acquired by Carbon Black, where Melissa was a senior engineering leader up until IPO.

Melissa also led engineering and business growth efforts for companies including Awareness, Liquid Machines and eRoom, which was acquired by Documentum and is still in use as an EMC product decades later.

Matt Tippets is the senior vice president of product at Drift, leading the product management, design and UX research functions. Matt brings decades of product leadership to Drift, with deep experience in strategy, management, development, and marketing of industry-leading B2B cloud products at a variety of enterprise software companies.

Prior to Drift, he served as chief product officer for Total Expert, a CRM and marketing automation platform focused on financial services. He also spent a number of years leading various strategic digital marketing products for Salesforce, where he was also responsible for product portfolio strategy at the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Ben Gardner
VP, Customer Support /
Ben is the VP of Customer Support at Drift, where he leads the support team and is responsible for customer support, product documentation and the customer community.

Ben is focused on delivering a world class customer experience through every interaction and understanding insights from our customers. In the last 15 years he has spent time in education, coaching and the software industry as a leader building high functioning and successful teams. His main area of expertise that led him to Drift was building and scaling teams by creating structure and transforming support teams into the future of the company.
Bernard Kiyanda
VP, Engineering /
Bernard Kiyanda is the VP of Engineering at Drift, leading software development teams that deliver the AI platform, Chatbots, Web Engagement, Analytics, and Enterprise solutions, adding customer value by creating efficient ways to process and leverage customer data.

Bernard brings 25+ years of experience leading engineering teams, serving in technical leadership roles in AI, cloud computing, embedded software, audio, VoIP, integrations, and process automation, and in companies such as Sonos, LogMeIn, Schneider Electric, and others. Bernard has led engineering teams through several acquisitions and IPOs, and at Drift he has been leading a strategic patent portfolio resulting in 10+ AI patents (granted and pending).
Emily Singer
VP, Marketing /
Emily is the vice president of marketing at Drift, where she is responsible for the company's global brand and marketing strategy. She has more than 10 years of experience in B2B technology marketing with a track record of helping enterprise software companies advance market leadership, create thought leadership, earn brand awareness, and start conversations with key audiences and influencers.

Prior to Drift, she led the global communications team at Alteryx, where she played a critical role in scaling both the team and communications function to mirror post-IPO growth. Before Alteryx, Emily led account teams at Karbo Communications, a boutique technology PR and digital agency, supporting a diverse client roster, including Nutanix, Vendavo, Real-Time Innovations (RTI) and JotForm. Emily holds an MBA in executive leadership from University of Colorado and earned a dual B.S. degree in public relations and sociology from the University of Oregon.
Ryan Slinkard

Ryan is the Vice President of Professional Services at Drift where he focuses on building and sustaining world-class customer experiences from onboarding, on-going consulting services, partner delivery optimization, and integrating Drift within our customer eco-system.

He has over 20 years of experience working directly with customers providing services in management consulting, systems integration, customer education, managed services, and business development at SaaS companies, within Higher Education, and Management Consulting including Workday, SAP (CallidusCloud), Clemson University, and Accenture.
Megan Vasquez
VP, Customer Success /
Megan is the vice president of customer success at Drift where she leads the team of Customer Success and Renewal Managers. She is responsible for ensuring our customers have an exceptional Drift experience and are achieving their business goals and objectives through platform adoption and value recognition. She has more than 15 years of experience in B2B marketing and sales strategy and technology, including an extensive knowledge of Account Based Marketing (ABM). She has worked with customers across all industries, from SMB to Fortune 100, helping them adopt strategic recommendations aligned to their key objectives. She specializes in building high-functioning teams scaled to support customers of all types and sizes. Prior to Drift, Megan led account teams at BusinessOnline, a digital marketing agency, and the Customer Success organization at Demandbase. She holds a B.S. degree in journalism and advertising from the University of Colorado.
Lee Zucker
VP, Sales and Partnerships /
Lee Zucker is Drift’s Vice President of Sales and Partnerships.

Before Drift, Lee was Executive Vice President of Revenue at venture backed startup, Veho, a technology company that is rethinking last mile logistics by enabling personalized, fast and transparent next-day delivery and returns. Prior to Veho, Lee served as Yext’s Head of Industry for Food Services and Hospitality and then Manufacturing and Retail. Lee ran the global strategy, product and partnership development within these industries. Under his leadership, these industries became some of Yext’s most profitable lines of business.

Earlier in his career, Lee lead sales and revenue teams at several startups in New York City including Slice and SinglePlatform, which was acquired by Constant Contact in 2012.
Michelle Ai
Sr. Director, Chief of Staff and People Ops /
Michelle joined Drift in 2019 and serves as the chief of staff to the CEO and executive team. She spearheads cross-functional projects and enhances operating practices. In her People Ops role, Michelle oversees people processes, strategy, and data analysis, collaborating with various functional areas.

Before Drift, Michelle was with CommerceIQ, a retail B2B platform, focusing on demand generation and go-to-market strategies in marketing. Earlier in her career, she advised on capital markets and M&A transactions in investment banking. Michelle holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Mate Rakic
Sr. Director, Engineering /
Mate Rakic serves as the Senior Director of Engineering at Drift, focusing on enhancing product experiences across sales tools and customer onboarding. Before joining Drift in 2018, Mate held senior engineering roles at PayPal and Venmo.

He played an instrumental role in launching and scaling multiple products like 'PayPal Here' and the 'PayPal Business' mobile application. More recently, he led the engineering teams behind the 'Pay with Venmo' initiative, empowering millions to transact online via the Venmo button or in-store with their Venmo Card.

David Cancel is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Drift. He is best known for creating hypergrowth products and product teams at companies like Drift, HubSpot, Performable, Ghostery, and Compete. David is a serial entrepreneur, podcast host, angel investor/advisor, and guest lecturer at Harvard Business School, MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and other universities. Elias Torres

Elias Torres is the co-founder and strategic advisor of Drift. He previously served as the VP of Engineering at HubSpot and VP of Engineering at Lookery. In addition to starting, advising, and helping early stage companies, Elias is passionate about building winning teams and supporting Latinx entrepreneurs across the U.S. He has been featured in media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Entrepreneur, and TechCrunch.
