I’m writing to you on the heels of some exciting news at Drift.

As a hypergrowth company, we thrive on change. It’s a level of excitement like no other. And makes no two days the same.

But on September 1st, we announced our partnership with Vista Equity Partners in a deal valuing Drift at over $1B.

This news has me really excited.

We created an entire category in Conversational Marketing. We added Conversational Sales to the mix and headed upmarket to the enterprise. And now, we’re poised to lead yet another category — Conversational Commerce.

It all started with a conversation.

In fact, everything we’ve done so far has started with a conversation. The partnership with Vista started with a conversation, and now look where we are.

That’s why I wanted to share how excited I am. Not to brag or boast. But more as a reflection on what’s possible. And to again remind you how powerful conversations really can be.

Sometimes they get lost in the shuffle of our busy lives. Sometimes they’re cut short. Sometimes conversations get postponed altogether.

But I encourage you to have them as often as you can. Because take it from me, you never know where your next conversation could take you.
