What can you accomplish in 24 hours?

Everyone has 24 hours in a day. It’s what you do with those hours that matter. Some kill it. Most can’t get out of their own way.

So what separates those who reach or exceed their goals from those who don’t? Some common traits I’ve observed among those who continually win:

  1. They are religious about setting goals consistently in all areas of their lives. Goal setting is crucial to manifesting your dreams into reality. Give your dreams a name, sure, but set goals to actually achieve them.

  1. They are excellent at measuring and benchmarking their performance. As Peter Drucker, the founder of modern management, said, “If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.”

  1. They say “no” a lot. A lot. (More on this in a future email). They are ruthless about protecting their time. They never say “yes” just to be nice.

  1. They make space in between tasks. It’s in those breaks, in that space, that the magic happens (remember the importance of thinking vacations?). It’s not all go. Breaks are essential to helping you achieve your goals.
