Default Nashville Drifters wanted

New drifting sanctioning body being created in Nashville.

Events will be held every other Sunday all year long in 2010.

You will be able to buy a $50 lisense that will get you in to these events for $25 per person. Buy a lisense at an event and get in that first event free.

If you don't want to buy a lisense you can still participate for $40 per person.

The first event will be held sometime in September at the Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville.
More details soon.

It's going to be a great way for guys and gals withing driving distance of Nashville to have a safe place to do drift. There will be practice events for beginners as well as tandem competitions for the more advanced.

No more paying $75 to $100 to compete
No more wondering when the next one will be
No more being bummed 'cause there are no events in the winter

Huntsville isn't that far away. Get the buzz going down there and come on up!

Drifting refers to a driving technique and to a motor sport where the driver intentionally skids the rear tires through turns, preserving vehicle control and a high exit speed. A car is said to be drifting when the rear slip angle is greater than the front slip angle prior to the corner apex, and the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction to the turn (e.g. car is turning left, wheels are pointed right or vice versa), and the driver is controlling these factors. As a motor sport, professional drifting competitions are held across the World.

Right now we are talking to the Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville.

We will be using the 1/4 mile racetrack inside the 5/8 high-banked track. There will be two configurations. The real plus is that there is an outside retaining wall around the 1/4 mile track with catch fencing. That means spectators can be within 10 to 15 feet of the action and be safe instead of all the way accross a parking lot.
